Beta Phase 0.7.1 – Social User Profiles, Favorite listings

We’re excited to announce the latest update to The New England Job Board – Beta Phase 0.7.1! We’ve been working hard to improve the job search experience for job seekers and recruiters alike. It seems before one feature is finished, another great feature comes our way and adds a slight delay to the project. In this update we have added some new social and security plugins that will enhance the current and future features of the New England Job Board. We are now adding the feature to accept job fair and hiring event listings coming soon as well as still tracking dow bugs which are always popping up. Here are some of the highlights of whe have done so far and are going to be working on:

New Achievements

Improved regional search: We heard your feedback and have made it easier to find job listings in your desired region. All listings for a state, county, or municipality are now consolidated into a single post, which can be bookmarked for easy access.
BuddyBoss integration: The BuddyBoss plugin has been added, providing new social capabilities and expanded user profiles. Job seekers can now upload their resumes to their profile, with major integration into BuddyBoss groups and activity feeds coming in Phase 2.
GamiPress Plugin: We’ve installed the GamiPress plugin and plan to integrate it between Beta Phase and the Soft Launch, which is planned for this fall.
Dynamic map: A dynamic map has been added to the homepage, showing the states with active job listings.
Bug fixes: We’ve fixed a bug with the loop card not displaying the currency icon correctly.

In The Works:

Tipped wage region posts: We’re finishing up the integration of tipped wage region posts and linking them to the main directory.
Job fair listings: We’re adding the ability to post job fair listings.
SafeApply: We’re still working on our beta feature, SafeApply, which allows users to apply directly on our website and ensures the application is attached to the correct job listing and only visible to the recruiter.
Looking for work listings: The looking for work listings are still in beta and will be reviewed for error in the loop card.
